Women’s European Volley Club Association

Official website of WEVCA, the European Association that involves 15 of the most prestigious women’s continental volleyball clubs

WEVCA was founded with the ambition to build a European women’s volleyball ecosystem that is sustainable, successful and fully integrated into the global sporting landscape.

The Association’s main objectives are:

  • Institutional dialogue: to act as an official counterpart with CEV (Confédération Européenne de Volleyball), FIVB (Fédération Internationale de Volleyball) and other authorities, contributing to the definition of shared strategies and sustainable calendars.
  • Enhancement of the club system: promoting the key role of clubs in the training of female athletes, the development of fan bases and the production of high-level sports content.
  • Commercial development: working with institutions and partners to make women’s volleyball an increasingly attractive product for investors, sponsors and broadcasters, following successful models already seen in football and basketball.
  • Women’s Empowerment in Sport: strengthen women’s volleyball as a platform for expression and growth for women in sport, promoting leadership, visibility and equal opportunities.
  • Innovation and sustainability: develop joint projects aimed at improving the technical, organisational and environmental standards of the female volleyball, with a focus on digitisation, inclusiveness and social impact.
